In order for FSBC to accomplish God’s purpose, we need each individual that he sends to become committed family members, willing to share their talents, gifts, personalities, time, and experiences.We encourage church membership as a step of commitment to the church and the church family.
You can become a member at First Southern Baptist church in one of three ways:
By Baptism:If you are joining upon profession of faith in Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior, and have not been scripturally baptized by immersion, we ask that you participate in believer’s baptism.
By Letter:By promise of letter from another Southern Baptist
Church , or another church of like faith and order, of which you are in good standing.Upon joining First Southern Baptist Church, we will request a letter from your previous church.
By Statement of Faith:Prospective members will be received upon profession of faith in Jesus Christ indicating that they have been Scripturally baptized by immersion in a like denomination.
According to Matthew 10:32 “Whoever acknowledges me before men, I will also acknowledge him before my Father in heaven,” we believe in making all spiritual decisions public, so we ask that all candidates for membership come forward during the invitation time to unite with our church.We will pray with you and help you to begin the process of getting connected to our church family.
