The Awana club for preschoolers is built on two premises:
Young children can and should receive spiritual training.
Home is the primary place for spiritual training.
Our preschool program meets these needs through …fun – and lots of it! But Awana is fun with a purpose – to reach and train kids for Jesus Christ. Games, puppets, crafts, awards and other activities transform our preschool program into a lively weekly experience where fun and learning go hand in hand.
CUBBIES
WHO MAY COME:
Children entering Cubbies must be 3 years old on or before Aug. 31st, 2009 and potty trained.
*Parents if you would like to see your Cubbie get their awards, please come at 7:40p.m. for their closing ceremony.
Cubbies Club Expenses Uniforms are an important part of our Awana Club. They are important because uniforms distinguish a group. Uniforms set groups apart from people not in the group. Uniforms give us a place to display the awards that clubbers work hard on during the year. Every clubber in Awana will need to purchase the uniform for their club upon completing their entrance booklet. $25 is the registration cost for uniform, handbook, and award patches. You can click on our registration form page to download print and fill out a regristration form for your Cubbie.
Foundational Teaching Bible-centered handbooks and club activities help your children begin to build a solid understanding of the basics of Christianity at an early age. Your kids will reap immediate benefits from their involvement in this exciting program. Just look at what they will learn after only two years:
Approximately 55 memory verses – and up to 120 additional verses if they complete our extra-credit curriculum
Key basic truths about God, Jesus Christ, salvation and the Bible
The gospel message and their need to trust Christ as Savior
Tips On How Parents Can Help
Please bring your child to club on time (at 6:00 p.m.) to the sanctuary on Wednesday evenings.
Come to the sanctuary no later than 7:45p.m to pick up your child. Make sure you sign them out with their leader.
Make sure your Cubbie wears the uniform vest to club, once earned. Proper display of of clubbers awards contributes greatly to their sense of achievement.
Please read through and go over the verse during the week with your child. It may take several sessions of reciting for your Cubbie to learn their verse correctly. Each Bear Hug has a place for your signature as your child completes it at home.
Each Bear Hug in the book also has an “Under the Apple Tree” section. This is not required for patches. It is an additional opportunity to reinforce that week's lesson at home.

Order of Handbooks There are two handbooks that Awana Cubbies use. For the 2009-2010 club year we will be using the Jumper Handbook. All Cubbies regardless of age will follow together through their Bear Hugs and Special Days together. All Cubbies will complete the Bear Hug Brochure before receiving their Jumper Handbook.
